Sundra L. Ryce  President and CEO

Sundra L. Ryce is the President and CEO of SLR Contracting and Service Company Inc, a general construction company headquartered in Buffalo, New York.  Established in 1996 by Ms. Ryce, SLR is a progressive and emergent company that provides general construction, construction management, design build and other specialty services. The company’s mission is to build exemplary structures with premier service in the construction industry.  

Under Ms. Ryce’s leadership, SLR Contracting has developed into a competitive and team-oriented firm that has grown in revenue considerably, since inception. Ms. Ryce oversees all functions of the business including construction operations, strategic planning, strategic management, negotiations, sales and marketing, human resources, field operations, customer service and finance.

Ms. Ryce grew up in the family construction business and perceives the construction industry as an immense business opportunity for entrepreneurs and women. The Buffalo, New York native received her preliminary construction experience as an executive at WC Roberson Plumbing & Construction Corporation, her father’s construction company.  

SLR Contracting has received a number of certifications including the US Small Business Administration’s HUBZone and SDB status, Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority DBE, The Port Authority of NY & NJ SBE Certification, Minority/Woman-Owned Business Enterprise-New York State, The Port Authority of NY & NJ M/WBE Certification and the Dormitory Authority State of New York M/WBE.  

Ms. Ryce received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Buffalo State College and earned her Master of Science Degree from Medaille College. She is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Western New York Public Broadcasting Association, Buffalo State College Foundation Board and the Buffalo Urban Development Corporation. Ms. Ryce was recently appointed to the Western New York Health System Board of Directors.

Brian S. Tubin  Vice President 
Brian S. Tubin is the Vice President of SLR Contracting & Service Company Inc. He is responsible for corporate operations, including assisting and advising the President and CEO in planning and directing all aspects of the organization's operational and financial policies, procedures, objectives and initiatives.

Mr. Tubin has worked directly with SLR since 1999 as an accountant and business consultant. In February 2003 he joined the management team of SLR as Vice President of Finance and Operations.

With over 15 years of education and work experience in all facets of accounting, finance, operations and business management, Mr. Tubin is a proven leader in his field. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Binghamton University and holds the titles of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).

His numerous professional affiliations include membership in the Construction Exchange, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysis, Construction Financial Management Association and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Prior to joining SLR Contracting, Mr. Tubin was employed at the accounting firm of Gaines Kriner Elliott LLP.
